TOURNAMENT RULES 

1. Only Registered anglers may win prizes. (Unregistered anglers in your party may jeopardize the validity of a fish caught by a registered fisherman).

2. Registration must always be in possession. Online registration ticket will be fish turn in number.

3. Any cheating, such as early fishing or transporting fish from another lake, will disqualify you.

4. Registration cannot be transferred.

5. Disputes will be settled by derby officials, located at the official weight-in location.

6. To be eligible for prizes participants must hold a Current Wyoming fishing license and Wyoming conservation stamp.

7. Must comply with WGFD species regulation and procedures.

8. All contestants must comply with WGFD Aquatics Invasive Species regulation and procedures. Violations of WGFD regulations will result in disqualification from participation in the derby.   

9. Derby Hours 1 Day Saturday 6:00am to 4:20pm. The last fish turn in at 4:20pm

10. Only fish coming from wheatland #3 Reservoir caught during the hours of the derby will be awarded prize.

11. The location of Headquarters will be Wheatland #3 main boat dock.

12. Rainbow trout, Brown trout, Walleye will be the targeted fish.

13. Only 1st Place Payout. BIGGEST FISH WINS. The size of the fish will be determined by Length and Girth. Weight will be used as a tie breaker.

14. Fish will be accepted for measurement after 6am or before 4:20pm.

15. Frozen fish will not be accepted for measurement.

16. When fish is caught, it must be brought to the headquarters for measurement within 20 mins.

17. Fish registered with derby will not be released. Gutting or any other alteration of the fish will result in disqualification.

18. Culling is prohibited, the decision to keep a fish must be made immediately. If kept, the fish must be applied to the daily possession limit for species. May not be released.

19. All anglers using tip ups must follow Wyoming Game and fish regulations. All tip ups must have name and contact information on them.  

20. Snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles during derby hours will be allowed at the risk of the owner and operator.

21. The Derby Committee claims no responsibility for accidents or injuries on the ice or in the surrounding area.

22. Online registration implies consent for the release and use of your name and pictures to the public VIA printed, video, or internet media.

23. Entry Fee is $100.00 per contestant. Entry fee will get you a 2026 Tournament Shirt 

and make you Eligible for Prizes.

 Note: Please make your way to Derby Head Quarters at end of tournament. 5:05pm Sharpe We will have Tournament winner announcement, Give away Prizes and shirt pick up. Grand Prize Winner Will Be Excluded From Prize Drawing. We have some really good Prizes this year so do not miss out on your opportunity to still leave with some thing. Must be Present to Win. 

 

We will also be Providing a Pig Roast for all Anglers. Sponsored By Chris Harvey (Twigg Hoppers) 

 

This is an Invitational Tournament. Fill out application and summit, Derby organizers will approve and send you a secondary email that you have been selected to participate. We are holding this to a 100 participant Derby.
